Mission: To bring together community resources to speed the healing of child victims of abuse and trauma.

The Children's Advocacy Center of the South Plains is a cooperative effort among city, county, and state entities interested in maintaining a cooperative, multi-disciplinary approach to investigating child abuse. The goal is to lessen the trauma to the child by reducing the number of investigative interviews. The Advocacy Center provides an environment that emphasizes the best interest of the child and provides investigatory and rehabilitative services.

The Children's Advocacy Center serves:
Child victims of physical abuse
» Child victims of sexual abuse
Non-offending family members

The Children's Advocacy Center provides:
Interview rooms where interviews will be conducted and videotaped
» Coordination of medical evaluations
Coordination of weekly case reviews and support of partner agencies in their investigations
A resource library for children, parents and professionals
» An emergency supply room for children removed or at risk of removal from their homes
An on-site mental health professional to provide counseling services
Rural interviews conducted across the South Plains
