The Lubbock Area United Way values advocacy as a tool to support the mission of Giving People Hope.
The unique role United Way plays at the state Capitol and in communities across Texas to bring together so many disparate voices is a fantastic example of collaboration at its finest.
The United Way Public Policy committee meets to shape local advocacy efforts that support the Education Initiative and the interests of the 23 partner agencies.
In addition, local volunteers advocate for United Way by participating in the Speaker’s Bureau. Through the Speaker’s Bureau, these people share the United Way story with others.
